Eau Bleu is a small river coming off the Eau Bleu reservoir, in central south of the island. It gets its name from the azure  ponds that are often supplied by underground water springs in summer giving the whole river a blue glare. The river has 5 waterfalls not exceeding 15m, several possible jumps and swift water movement, depending on the season.

Your canyoneering day at Eau Bleu will be a combination of Abseils in waterfall spray, jumps into the water basins, river butt-riding (letting yourself getting dragged by the water) and river walks. Though the total distance we will cover is no more that 1km, averages groups usually takes three quarter of a day to complete the canyon.

Canyon Description

This is a half day initiation to Canyoneering

We meet at The water tank near the Eau Bleu Reservoir and after all paperwork have been done, we equip yourself and go through a safety briefing (telling you how loud to yell if you are scared). A small track through the cane fields take us to the fist waterfall in 5 mins. While one of your instructors prepares the abseil ropes, you will be shown how to use the equipment. The fisrt descent ends in a pool with the waterfall crashing in only a meter away. We will swim across the pool (you'll definitely know why the place is called Eau Bleu)
