Canyoneering - some call it waterfall climbing - the French have named it "Canyoning" and the South Africans " Kloofing". It consists of abseiling (going down ropes with harnesses and climbing equipment) down waterfalls, jumping into and swimming across ponds and rivers. It is fun, exciting and definitely different  than a day toasting on the beach !

Vertical World offers several trips for both Mauritians and visitors. All Trips include:

• Abseil Equipment (harness, helmet, fig of 8, etc...)

• 3mm Wetsuits (shorties)

• Lunch (Tuna / Cheese sandwiches, Water, chocolate, fruits) 

• Canyon Bag

You should bring along :

• Yourself in swimming gear and outdoor sports shoes
• Change of clothes and towel
• Camera (in waterproof container if available)
